Nando calls it a day

Fernando Morientes has decided to retire from all forms of professional football at the age of 34. Nando, who spent seven seasons with us, made this announcement to a Spanish radio channel today in order to spend more time with his family although he will be taking up a job behind the microphone.

Ronaldo’s injury is not the same as last season’s – Head of Medical Services

The Head of Medical Services at the club, Carlos Diez, spoke to the press about the injury picked up Cristiano Ronaldo during last night’s goalless draw against Mallorca. He said that while the expected recovery period is usually 2 weeks, they decided to extend it by additional week as a precautionary step.
